The Hawaii Police Department said in a statement Thursday night it is working with state and federal authorities to investigate “an allegation of a threat against a judge on Hawaii Island.”

The Hawaii Police Department said in a statement Thursday night it is working with state and federal authorities to investigate “an allegation of a threat against a judge on Hawaii Island.”

Police says they received information Monday there may be a threat against a sitting judge and is investigating the threat as first-degree terroristic threatening.

The statement did not identify the judge who was allegedly threatened.
